  • Destinations: Arrive in Chengdu to Emei Mountain
  • Activities:Upon arrival at Chengdu Shuangliu Airport, you’ll be greeted & warmly welcomed by our professional English speaking tour guide. Transfer to the hotel which you booked before. After a short rest, you will be transferred to Mt Emei and visit Leshan Giant Buddha.The Great Buddha in Leshan is located to the east of Leshan City, Sichuan Province and on the Lingyun Mountain where Min River, Qingyi River and Dadu River meet. It has been the largest stone carved sitting Buddhist statue in the world so far. The Buddha is over 71 meters (230 feet) tall and is wide enough for more than 100 people to sit between its feet.A local saying says, 'The Mountain is a Buddha, the Buddha is a mountain'.After the visit you will have a chance to experience the cruise .You can sit on board to have an overlook at Leshan Giant Buddha.

  • Destinations: Emei Mountain to Chengdu
  • Activities:This morning you will visit Emei Mountain. Emei Mountain is one of the four most sacred Buddhist Mountains in China. It has many temples and beautiful scenery.The mountain is known for its steep cliffs, lofty peaks, roaring waterfalls, gurgling springs, towering trees and fragrant flowers.After breakfast it's time for Monastery of Ten Thousand Years. There is a cable car leading there. 1,043 meters above sea level, the Monastery was built in the 4th century. In the hall is a statue of the Bodhisattva. Puxian on a white elephant, 8.5 meters high, cast in copper and bronze. Its weight is estimated 62,000 kilograms. After today's visit you will be transfered to Chengdu city.

  • Destinations: Chengdu
  • Activities:This morning our guide will lead you to Du Fu Cottage. The poet Du Fu lived in Chengdu for years. In the west suburbs of the city, he built for himself a thatched hut and wrote a lot of poems here. Then you will set off for Wangjiang Park.The park is renowned because the famous poet, Xue Tao (768-831), once lived here. After lunch you will visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The environment here is exquisitely designed; the air is refreshing with the bamboo growing luxuriantly and flocks of wild birds flying around.

  • Destinations: Depart from Chengdu
  • Activities:Free in the day until our local guide escorts you to the airport for your onward flight to your next destination.

Cancellation & refund policies for Tour Packages
  • If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to eLongtours@chinatraveldepot.com by e-mail Please Call +86-10-84577827 or 4006-171717 (in Mainland China). The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
  • To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
