  • Destinations: Arrival in Shanghai
  • Activities:Situated at the southern side of Yangtze River estuary, Shanghai became communication and trade center in 1930s between China and the west. Based on economy redevelopment from 1980, Shanghai grew into commercial and financial center as well as largest metropolis in China. Shanghai owns large amount of landmarks, sightseeing attractions and good facilities of hotels, catering and transportation. One of the largest global events, World Expo 2010 will be held in Shanghai from May to October.
    Upon arrival, your guide will greet you at airport and transfer you to the hotel.

  • Destinations: Shanghai
  • Activities:Morning tour starts from the lovely old Yuyuan Garden, a traditional Chinese park complete with beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations.Then continue your trip to Shanghai Museum, which possesses a comprehensive collection of some of China's finest relics and artifacts - paintings, bronzes, sculptures, ceramics, calligraphy, jade, imperial furniture, coins, seals and minority art.
    In the afternoon visit Jade Buddha Temple, which houses precious Jade Buddha as well as a number of ancient sculptures, rare paintings and Buddhist scriptures. Then climb Oriental Pearl TV Tower and get a superb view of The Bund and Shanghai, as well as Sheshan, Chongming Island and the Huangpu River in the distance.

  • Destinations: Shanghai to Guilin
  • Activities:Free and leisure in Shanghai till transfer to airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival. you will be greeted at Guilin airport and transferred to your hotel. On the way, the guide will give you some brief introduction about this picturesque city. After check in, the rest of the day is for you to explore the small city of Guilin on your own.

  • Destinations: Guilin to Yangshuo
  • Activities:In the morning your excursion starts from Li River Cruise. A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. As you take in the stunning scenery there's something interesting to see at almost every bend in the river. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts and fishing cormorants.
    You can spend the afternoon as you wish to explore the little town of Yangshuo either by wandering at the West Street or renting a bike and cycle around or take an optional excursion to the local villages.

  • Day 05
  • Destinations: Yangshuo via Guilin to Xi'an
  • Activities:In the morning drive back to Guilin and visit Elephant Trunk Hill. Located at the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River, with an image of a large piece of stone drooped from the hill into the water, the hill looks exactly like an elephant is drinking the water from the Li River. Then continue your trip to Reed Flute Cave. Known as 'the Palace of Natural Arts', this large and well-presented cave has some remarkable formations such as enchanting stalagmites, stone pillars, stele, stone curtains and stone flowers. Then take a look at Fubo(Whirlpool) Hill, which is located in the city proper, propping up from the ground. Up on top of the hill you will get a view of whole Guilin city.
    Transfer to Guilin airport and fly to Xi'an in the afternoon. Your guide in Xi'an will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.

  • Destinations: Xi'an
  • Activities:Take morning excursion to see the highlight of Xi'an tour - Terracotta Warriors and Horses which is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qinshihuang (259-201BC). Over 7000 life size figures in full battle array are formed for battle in several large pits. These figures - soldiers, archers, horses and chariots were made to accompany the emperor on his journeys after death.
    In the afternoon you are going to Bell Tower where you can get a bird's view of the city from the top. There is a music performance of the ancient music and a display of the instruments. Then continue your tour to Big Wild Goose Pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his collection of classic Buddhist artifacts brought from his painstaking journey to India in 7th century.

  • Destinations: Xi'an to Beijing
  • Activities:Fly to Beijing in the morning. After airport transfer and check in hotel, you will start your city tour and visit Hutong by rickshaw. Originally built in the Yuan Dynasty (1106-1234), Hutong is the Chinese name for the ancient city alley ways, narrow lanes with four side courtyard living compounds spread inside. You'll get a precious glimpse into distinctive culture as you drop into flea market and zigzag through Hutongs at Houhai area.

  • Destinations: Beijing
  • Activities:Your city tour starts at Tian'anmen Square, the world's largest public square where important occations took place such as Founding of P.R.China in 1949 and National Day Celebration. Then go straight ahead to Forbidden City, the largest royal palace in the world serving as administrative center and living quarters for emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1911.
    In the afternoon you'll visit Temple of Heaven, where emperors worshiped the God of Heaven and prayed for a good harvest annually. Today's itinerary includes a visit to the Beijing handicraft workshop to see traditional arts and crafts. In the evening, enjoy watching a splendid show of Shaolin Kungfu or Arocbatis on your own expense, or enjoy nightlife in pubs & bars around the Houhai Lake.

  • Destinations: Beijing
  • Activities:Be an early bird and catch the rewarding view of the Great Wall at Badaling section. Stretching over 6000 km, the Great Wall was originally built to protect China from the nomadic attack. You can walk and climb at your own pace, or enjoy spectacular views from the cable car. In the afternoon you'll take a look of Changling Tomb (one of the Ming Tombs with best preserved ground architecture) as well as the attractive tree-lined Sacred Way, bordered by stone statues. After sightseeing, continue a visit to Jade Caving Factory or Cloisonné (enamelware) workshop.

Cancellation & refund policies for Tour Packages
  • If you want to cancel your booking or part of it, you must advise us in writing to eLongtours@chinatraveldepot.com by e-mail Please Call +86-10-84577827 or 4006-171717 (in Mainland China). The letter must be signed by the lead name on the booking and once we receive it you should expect to receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours. If you do not then please contact us to ensure your letter has been received.
  • To cover the cost of processing your cancellation and to compensate us for the risk that we may not be able to resell your travel arrangements, we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown below. The person who made the booking is responsible for paying this charge. The size of the charge depends on when we receive your cancellation notice or letter or how you would like us to deal with your payment providing that we have received your full payment for the tours.
